We are not saying it sounds bad or anything. I've already recorded with this mic and it's awesome. table#t90 thead tr {
Being supercardioid dynamic microphones, both the Shure Beta 58A and the Sennheiser e945 perform excellently on live stages. Completely satisfied with this mic and always satisfied with the service I get from Tyler. 58's started failing (don't know age as they were donated). Her vocals cut through and were more intelligible especially when singing in her lower range. Proper vocal EQ'ing. if i had to pick one over the other in a standard band situation i would choose the e945. Tried a lot of mics at the NAMM show. This mic also focuses on capturing sounds from the front. Many people prefer Sennheiser E935 because it gives more presence to the vocal. Save my name, email, and website in this browser for the next time I comment. After trying out various mics at gigs (AKG D5 & C5, Shure SM86 & Beta 87a, Audix OM5 & OM7, Sennheiser e835 & e845), I was led to explore the Sennheiser 900 series by the recommendation of a few friends. Because it is a super cardioid mic too and has a better sound. We have e935's and e940's along with 2 Beta 58's. The Sennheiser e945 is clearly better than the Shure Beta 58A. – Shure BETA 87A – Sennheiser e945 Supercardioid Dynamic Microphone … Thank you . I'm telling this, because I did microphone shootouts including the e945 and BETA 58 several times. GBF is very good, despite what a few others seem compelled to believe for whatever reason(s). it has a nice smooth sound too, but the thing that dissapointed me was that sennheiser say this mic can get 3-6 db's more GBF than a e845 which i found in band rehearsal to be totally untrue. Sweetwater Sound It IS cool, however to see that my gain needs to be turned down much lower than everyone else's. i own both an e845 and e935 but i was dissapointed by this mic. I believe the best mic that I have used works great with my tc helicon voice live the best mic that I have found for my voice range very smooth mid tone but yet clear and intelligible... OK...true story. I can't wait to use it with the band live instead of the old SM58, which is still a great mic as well. We had a 4 hour outdoor gig scheduled for that night so I used it. Very clean, clearer sound. Required fields are marked *. So I asked Aaron what he thought I should use, he suggested this mic and the e935. text-align: center;border-left: 1px solid #CCCCCC;
I've been using an SM58 for the last couple of years and it has been solid but I've not been supper pleased with the lack of the detail and clarity in my voice. In addition to that, the pick-up angle of both the microphones is very narrow. As a result, this mic looks elegant and professional. We understand that and we a re here for that exact reason. border-collapse: collapse;

great mic. Big Mistake. Sennheiser and Shure continue their competition, this time with their dynamic handheld mics Sennheiser E935 and Shure Beta 58. On the other hand, Shure Beta 58 comes with a more traditional look. For over 25 years I've been using for live vocals the Shure 58 and Beta 58 and had just recently purchased the Beta87A..Recently I had an opportunity to visit a young musician friend of mine who turned me on to the E945. Be sure that it will perform very well at work! But it comes with a silver metal spherical grille. Same as the Sennheiser e945, the Shure Beta 58A also houses a shock mount system to deal with the mechanical noise and minimize the vibrations. border-width: 0px;
So, after extensive research (not really), I switched from my Sennheiser condenser headphone mic and bought the e945. The e945 sounds a bit clearer and more neutral. To be brief, I am amazed at the sound quality of this microphone. I bought this mic after debating with myself whether to get the Sennheiser e 945 or the Shure beta58a.
